YEAR-ROUND PROGRAM

The year-round program is on an indefinite hiatus.

Grrl Action’s year-round program invited graduates of the Summer Workshop and other promising candidates to develop long-term artistic projects inspired by their individual interests and passions.

Overview

In the year-round program:

• Each girl is carefully paired with a professional female artist, a mentor who will provide one-on-one guidance and give her an entry into a possible future career.
• With help from their mentors, peers, and teachers, girls plan and execute long-term artistic projects, from art installations and books of poetry to solo performance and dance pieces to documentary and narrative films.
• Through ongoing field trips to performances, art exhibits, lectures, readings and concerts, girls become active participants in the local arts community.
